Pepsi MAX invited and challenged the Greek consumers to the most subversive taste test of the year! Last summer, the Pepsi Max Taste Challenge took place for the first time in our country.

In a press release, Pepsi Max announced the results. Characteristically it states:

«Pepsi Max put its unique taste at the forefront and did not hesitate to put itself to the taste test against its biggest competitor in the Cola market with its appearance in the Pepsi Max Taste Challenge. 50,000 Greeks took part in one of the biggest taste tests in Greece, in which 59% of the participants chose Pepsi MAX!

The Pepsi Taste Challenge was strongly present in 130 different places in Athens and Thessaloniki, such as the Street Food Festival of the Thessaloniki International Fair, in many Universities and busy streets and squares, in the Odeon cinemas during the premiere of the movie X-MEN, as well as in shopping centers but also many beach bars during the summer months.

Greeks of all ages rushed to take part in the events, recording their taste preferences. Their positive response through Pepsi’s social media was impressive, after they took part in events close to their area, utilizing geo-location targeting, while all participants received Pepsi commemorative gifts after their participation, at the end of the geographical test. At the same time, well-known lifestyle influencers (Filio Lou, Dafni Neophytou, Giorgos Vagiatas, Konilo) also participated in the Pepsi MAX Taste Challenge in Greece, taking part in the taste tests and having fun at the events that took place at the same time. The Pepsi Taste Challenge has been held in more than 20 markets worldwide with the participation of more than 2.4 million consumers, giving them the opportunity to try and choose their favorite cola based on taste alone. The goal of the Pepsi Max Taste Challenge is to encourage them to participate in the most entertaining blind taste event of the year and choose the flavor they prefer most between the two soft drinks.
